The Highway Couch

Someone dumped a couch on the side of a Kentucky highway. Most people drove past. Ginger saw a canvas. She added a banana with masking tape — a nod to Maurizio Cattelan's $120,000 "Comedian." Now the question is yours: Is it art or not?

What People Are Saying

Ginger D.: I drove past this couch for three days before I stopped. Something about it just asked for a banana. I can't explain it.

Local Artist: This is absolutely art. The banana transforms it from trash into a statement about consumerism, decay, and absurdity. Cattelan would approve.
